Afghanistan are locking horns against Pakistan in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series, on August 24. The match is a crucial one for Afghanistan as a loss would mean they end up conceding the series 0-2 after a dismal batting performance saw them muster just 59 runs in the first match. Pakistan were brilliant with the ball but not so much with the willow in hand. Eurosport India is the broadcast partner of this series and will provide live telecast of this series.

The first ODI witnessed Pakistan amassing a total of 201, led by Imam ul Haq's impressive 61 runs and Shadab Khan's contribution of 39 runs. The Afghan bowlers, however, displayed commendable performance, with Mujeeb ur Rehman securing three wickets, while Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took two each.
Afghanistan's batting unit faced a stern test and eventually crumbled, reaching a meager 59 runs in response. Only Gurbaz and Azmatullah managed to breach the double-digit mark. Haris Rauf emerged as the star performer, claiming an impeccable 5-wicket haul.

Pakistan and Afghanistan will lock horns against each other on Thursday (August 24) in the second of three-match ODI series. The Babar Azam-led side is leading the series 1-0 having won the opening encounter bya massive margin of 142 runs courtesy of a maiden five-wicket haul from Haris Rauf. The second ODI is also scheduled to be played at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota and all the eyes will be on the behaviour of the pitch.
The surface turned quite a lot in the series opener and something of similar sorts is expected to be on offer in the second match as well. The pitch is certainly not going to be an easy one to bat but Afghanistan pacers will have to improve their lengths looking at the way Pakistan's bowlers bowled. Also, this will be another test for the Pakistan batters who could muster only 201 runs in testing conditions.
